Program of the workshops

Each workshop consists of:
the presentation by an expert of a topic related to Khaita
an experiential part where steps and movements of some dances will be explained
Special workshops are offered once a month from January till June. We will always meet on Sundays at 6 pm CET.

  • 1. Introduction to the world of Khaita Joyful Dances

    Why is Khaita needed today? Relation of Khaita with values important nowadays Khaita principles Dance: introduce basic and lateral steps, in connection to different arms movements.

Adriana Dal Borgo

Main instructor, mentor in the program

Adriana Dal Borgo has been teaching for more than 30 years contemplative dance, methods of the awareness through sound and dance and harmonization of energy, with courses intended for expert dancers and beginners. As Khaita instructor, has overseen several publications and audio videos which go more deeply into the different aspects of the dances. She directs Khaita Dance courses and events, with shows and workshops in various countries.

Monika Marcik

Guid instructor in the program

Monika Marcik is Khaita instructor, business Trainer and coach. She specialize in developing managerial and personal skills with particular emphasis on emotional intelligence, working with values, reducing stress and finding work life balance. She is using Khaita Joyful Dances at her work as a method supporting development of coaching skills and building awareness of the body, energy and mind.

Petra Zezulkova

Petra is creative designer, project manager and creative strategy lead for digital and interactive designs. She is graduated teacher and designer and professional basketball player and coach. In 2001 she was certified as sport masseur. She has long term experience in teaching and coaching, working with physical aspect of the body and the balance of movements within physical activities.Khaita Joyful Dances  instructor, she is leading regular training for adults and kids. She cooperates with Montessori kindergarten and teaches Khaita there. She is actively participating on events, dance performances and also organising  events.

Elisha Koppensteiner

Expert in sound and movement

Elisha Koppensteiner, instructor of Khaita Joyful Dances, has a master degree in Biology and a thorough training in physical theatre and voice work. Since 2008 she has been teaching improvisational techniques, voice and presentation techniques to more than 1500 students in a variety of contexts.

Matthew Schmookler

Expert in Tibetan Medicine

Matthew is Khaita Instructor, a Tibetan physician and a Yantra Yoga instructor. He also has extensive training in the field of health and well-being, being an instructor of the Breathe Method and a masseur specialized in Kunye Tibetan massage, among others.

Sicilia Francesca D'Arista

Expert in meditation and awareness methods
(Italy)

Sicilia Francesca D'Arista is a psychologist involved since 2008 in mindfulness and in particular the stress reduction program called MBSR. Interested in clinical psychology, she collaborated with the University of Siena to test the effect of the program on a group of undergraduate students. She currently leads the MBSR program for health care staff at major hospitals in Siena, Grosseto and Arezzo in Tuscany, Italy.

Fabian Sanders

Expert in Tibetan language and history

Fabian Sanders has studied Asian languages, traditions and cultures extensively, earning his doctorate at Ca' Foscari University in Venice. For the past fifteen years, he has dedicated himself to teaching classical Tibetan language. He has also been teaching the Drajyor Tibetan phonetic transcription system for many years.
